solid lifters into hydro turbo head? anyone BTDT

I am getting ready to have a turbo  (5cyl) head gone through for an engine
build-up.  For various reasons I would prefer to have solid over hydraulic
lifters and I am just wondering if there is anything special that needs to be
done other than just swapping out one for the other.  I have a solid lifter
head and cam and the solid buckets look like they are the same size as the
hydro buckets.  If I get that done should I use my solid cam as well - it
seems to be larger overall than the hydro cam...
