victory(and theory)

Massachusetts, dateline Wednesday: sacrifices(one craftsman flat head
screwdriver) had to be made for the team, but the AC belt is on.

Kudos to Peter Schulz for pointing out that most/all non-pivot bolts
have to come OFF...including the adjuster and the back bottom bolt.
Tada, a good tug and it pops another quarter inch or so. Belt went
on about 1/2 the way with a lot of prying etc, and after figuring out
which way things had to turn to get the belt to pop on, rotated the
engine slightly in the proper direction and the belt popped all the
way on. Schweet.

Figured out how the screwdriver was sacrificed? Hint: look at the PS
pump pulley, and consider that I didn't have a socket big enough for
the crank pulley. Yeah, I tried it, and it worked, just long enough
:-)

I'd also like to announce a new theory.

Brett's Theory of Quattro List Relativity

Urgent pleas for help will go unanswered until approximately 5
minutes until after lister has given up waiting around for answers
and decided to go and just beat the problem into submission with raw
determination, foul language, senseless violence, more tools, and a
fair share of evil-eyeing the offending components.

Theory addendum: 5 minutes after problem is fixed(and while lister is
typing message to list announcing success), he/she/it will become
inundated with helpful replies, hints, and suggestions which closely
match what he/she/it just learned through blood, sweat, and cursing.

Brett
PS: big thanks to Bernard Littau who just sent me scans of the Blau
install instructions for the harness! Woohoo!
