 From Steve/Clare:

>Dear Winter Driving School Participants,
>	Weather conditions in Franconia, NH, at 8:45pm, EST,
>Wednesday, February
20th are poor at best. The Team O'Neil Motorsports facility is experiencing
a thaw with temperatures at 42 degrees.
>
>Tim's ice surface is melting and the projected high temperatures will not
allow him to resurface the skid pad and avoidance circuits. The running
water, projected thaw (from a low pressure area coming in) and a forecast
of showers necessitated the cancellation of the Northeast Region QCUSA
Winter Driving School.
>Our experience in holding a school in similar conditions several years ago
influenced our desire to confirm Tim's decision. Running a school in a thaw
rips up his facility and makes for a very muddy and unpleasant experience.
If we could look forward to a quick freeze, Tim would be more than willing
to put in the long hours of work to prepare it for us. We thank him for
his efforts to keep the date open and we are disappointed in canceling the
school, but we have a scapegoat. Blame it on the weather.
>
>Please call your hotel to cancel your reservation. I have contacted the
Franconia Hotel andResort (888-669-6777) and they have a seventy-two hour
cancellation policy. I will return a call to the Manager tomorrow morning.
>
>No checks were deposited. We will dispose of them unless we receive an
e-mail from you to return them. Thanks for your understanding and
patience, and we hope that you will consider one of our track events this
summer or return to the O'Neil facility in 2003.
