rear diff drain plug removal

Hi Dave,
If the "tighten first, then remove" method doesn't work for you, you can tack
weld a bolt with a 17mm head into the drain plug.  Thread on two nuts and
wail away.

BTDT on the original tranny drain plug.

Oh, you'll need to get a new plug.
