should I bite on this or not?

Hi all,

Over on the vag-com list, there was a thread extolling the new,
generation-2 Bentley CD's. Uwe Ross likes 'em, anyway.
Unfortunately, registration is a pain (Bentley requires all sorts of
personal information) and you can't control what windows folder the
stuff installs in. Still, it's apparently a lot more functional than
the first generation CD.

Here's my problem: the new CD retails for $100. Going through
vag-com, I can get it for $70. But, Bentley also offers a $50
discount if I send in my first-gen CD. So if I buy new through Uwe,
it costs $20 more but I get to keep both CD's.

Is the old CD of any value? $20?

Thx for your thoughts. (I'm not as cheap as Brett, but I'm pretty
close.)
