Hello Efraim.........Yes, forgot the rack. Mine has behaved rather well.
I review my repair receipts, and then I divide that cost by the value I
place on how much satisfaction I get out of driving my Audi year after
year. And the resulting number is very acceptable to me.
Actually, the steering rack becomes pretty reliable once you replace it
with a Jorgen unit.
For a maybe 5 grand I have replaced/fixed all those problems and I'm
driving an incredible car, which doesn't show it's age, as I'm sure you
know because you have one also. The way it handles makes those expenses
insignificant, in my opinion. I'm not a bit glum about it. And I have
people from all over the world on this list, helping me keep it on the road.
But there are millions of people that don't care about how their cars
handle. They think of cars as appliances, when they think about them at
all. And all they see are the expenses. I belive they are missing
something good. My life is sweet..........
