Hi list,

I took the plunge and bought the Bentley for the 89-91 100 tq last night.
I finally saw what the difference between a single and double pass
IC is, I think. My car, a UK 1989 100 tq MC2, has a single pass IC, the
inlet pipe comes right across the front of the car and enters the
IC on the opposite end to the outlet. I always wondered what made it a
double pass IC and now I know, it aint one!

Is this what it is supposed to have? I'm not complaining if it isn't stock
for the car, just surprised that it has it, the installation looks totally
stock to me. Do all the MC2 cars have this single pass IC? From SJM's site
I thought the 10vt had the double pass IC?

Another thing that I noticed, the front brakes on my car are single
piston Teves/ATE, rather than the Girlings, I thought all the turbo
quattro cars of that vintage had the twin piston Girling set up? Is it
right that the guide pin bolts on these calipers *don't* have to be
changed if you loosen them? I ask cos it's getting new disks and pads this
weekend - as long as Audi can get me some pads in (been on back order
since early *last* week!!).

The chassis number is 44ZLN 039995 if that helps??

It's a big set of books isn't it? I think I'm gonna need a bigger
bookshelf to take all 3 volumes!

Cheers in advance for any pointers,

Graham.

'89 100 tq
