PS pressure hose

Someone posted last week about a "new" steering pump
pressure hose that groaned like crazy.  I've got the
same one.  I got it at a pick-n-pull for $1. with the
2 fittings, and it was only 6 months old.  Still had
the paper p/n tag on it.  BUT... the outer rubber
jacket was already dry-rotting, and the "yellow cad.
plating on the ends was already somewhat pitted.  It
has a hairpin bend in it just before it enters the
rack.  My original was weeping so I replaced it the
day before yesterday and the groan is terrible.  Can
you say made in China?  Really, does anyone know of
these hoses?  I think I'll buy a new "real" one.
