4kq Smog saga: Finished!

Well, after changing almost every part in the fuel/ignitions system (hey, I have all the spare parts laying around, mise well) I was at my wit's end about what to do with the car.  In case you don't remember, the car had a bad miss at idle, wreaking havoc on the HC #'s.

The registration expired in Dec, so I've been driving "illegally" for the past month or so.  Well, yesterday, while leaving work, getting onto the freeway the car seemed slower..hmm, that's odd I thought.  I let off the gas, now cruising, to see how the car would idle...perfectly smooth!  No more lumpy/missy idle like before.  Well, kept my fingers crossed, at least its intermittent now.  Pull off the freeway, open the hood and start pulling on wires, trying to recreate the miss, no luck.

Well, this morning I start the car, running perfectly still, beautiful!  I get to the smog place at about 8am, they smog it, passes with flying colors!  Wohoo, now I don't have to buy another commuter car!

Wish I knew what the problem was, oh well, thanks Audi Gods  =)
