A4 heater core? Same old Story?

Has anybody repaced the heater core on a 98 A4? Is this a common problem
again? The car I have has 58K miles on it and sends out a great white cloud
when control is changed from cool to heat and the outside temperature is
cool. Does anyone know if there has been a recall or has Audi helped anyone
with a bad heater core on a car this new?
