Stebro and Exhaust Recommendations

My CQ has developed a little puffing hole in the stock rear muffler. I saw
it coming (the little erroded hole was visible and anti-rust agents couldn't
keep it at bay). So I'm researching replacements. Looks like there are
only a couple off-the-shelf options:
1. OEM replacement
2. Stebro cat-back stainless
3. Scorpion cat-back stainless (if still available?)
4. Cheaper Home grown? I recall someone saying they'd custom fabricated a
Borla or Dynomax or something similar.
Stebro sounds good on paper - Stebro experience anyone? I'm hoping for a
slight performance increase at the expense of a little exhaust muffling. I
don't, however, want the car to wrasp and brap on accel/decel, or sound
anything like oh so many of the 'tuned imports' - to each their own.
Anyone have any audio clips on the web of thier 20v running such a setup?
Thanks in advance.
