water in 4kq trunk lid reflector

I know this is a common issue with these things, but I would like to check
if anyone has experience with leak sources other than the little rubber
plugs and shrunken calking. I am getting a rather large amount of water
into my trunk by way of the reflector thing across the back of the trunk
lid. When I open the trunk water pours out of the back sides of the light
sockets. It only goes into the depressions on either side of the trunk,
mostly into the passenger side. Any ideas? I dont think the car did this
last year, although this year has been much wetter than last.
