I did the same when I replaced the exhaust on my 85
5kt with an Ansa system. The replacement was more
rusted in 2 yrs. than the original. When the small
hole appeared in the middle bottom of my rear muffler
on the 200 I used some sheet stainless from a local
supplier($6.) and some 1200* silicone along with 6
stainless pop rivets to repair it. It's been fine for
over a year, and I expect it will last at least 5 more
years. All the rest of the metal in the entire system
is sound and unrusted.
