Mike and all,
Lucky you Mike for working the leather around and over those headrest holders
in the seatback. Usually it rips. Fabric stretches.

The headrest strut holders in the seatbacks have a "barb" type shape that
holds it in the seatback. You can easily remove them as follows:
1) Remove headrests from the seatback(remember to pull out the retaining
clips);
2) Remove seat back from seat bottom. That trim at the bottom is held on
with 3 press-in pins that you need to push out from the back side of the
trim. See your Bentley for details.
3)  Undo the leather/cloth of the seatback at the bottom;
4)  Remove the hawg rings holding the side bolsters;
5) Slide a good sized pliers up into the seat and gently squeeze the
headrest holder. You need to feel around to get the proper position. The
right combo of squeeze/push/and pull from the outside gets them out. It's a
little easier than it sounds.
6) Now just slide your seatback cover up and off.
7) Remember to remove these holders first from the receiving seatback.
After you get the cover/cushion back on, the holders just press fit/snap back
it.
