Fuchs wheel weight

Thanks for the responses indicating how much lighter the Fuchs
wheels are than the standard aero wheels. I'm glad it will be
something more than an appearance upgrade. They are an inch
wider at 7" too, which is cool (especially since they clear the rear
fenders). Personally I think it's great that they have somewhat of a
lip on them.
So, now all I have to worry about it that my full sized spare isn't a
light as it could be! :-) I can deal with that for a while and move on
to thinking about other upgrades and enhancements.
It's too bad it seems impossible to remove the good windshield
from my donor, so that I could put it in my driver '88 5kcstq. This
has come up a couple times before, but if anyone has any tips
about this, I'd be interested to hear them. I know it's a major pita,
and I've been quote a pretty good price <$300 for an installed new
winshield from some place, unknown glass manufacture (but I
didn't ask either).
As impossible and difficult as windshield removal may be, I'm sure
I'll give it a shot, since the good one will be trashed anyway if I
can't get it out intact. Junkyards list the winshields tho', as can be
checked by doing a search on http://www.car-part.com.
Sometime today and/or tomorrow, I've got to get out and swap out
the racks. Should be a sight easier compared to usual, since the
donor is missing the engine/tranny, and the recipient is missing the
tranny.
