Agreed, and I _am_ Asian to boot! The Korean car manufacturers, Hyundai,
for example, didn't really take into account the driving habits of
Americans when they first started bringing their cars to the US back in
the 80s. Go to Korea, see how the cars are used, then you'll realize why
it is a huge, first world country, with nary a Porsche on the road. TOO
much traffic for there to be nice cars, IMHO.

Add to that that there is a cheap mechanic that knows your car inside and
out on every street corner, and that the parts are from just over the
hill, it all becomes more clear.

But, in their defense, of late, they have been more "world-savvy" and have
been cranking out some decent vehicles. The new Sonata actual looks half
decent.
