Not sure if they changed the brakes on 97 vs the
98,and/or offset, but I have 15" rims(My old stock
URQ) on my A4 with no problem, clearance from the
caliper and the rim is about 1/4" but since it is a
circle that's all you need. One thing to watch out for
is the lead weights they use to balance the rim, if
they put them on the inside of the rim then they will
hit the caliper and be sheared off in the first 5 feet
of driving.(Happend to me)
and with the tire difference size I am only going
1.3miles/hr slower at 100mph.
So don't forget to check that too!!
The tires that I am running for winter are the Nokia
HAKKA's 185/65/R15. But will be switching to NRW's
next year.
