Brake siezure

Rex,
Check your emergency brake cable.
It is most likely seized in its sheath and/or the pivot point on caliper is
siezed.
The pivot point can be hammered back into place. If you are lucky, it will
respond to being lubricated and cycled back and forth a few times. Try a
good wicking penetrant on the cable.. both ends if you can get to them. Ope=
n
the rubber collar and get the juice to go up inside the sheath. If that
works, and starts to loosen things up, try to get some thicker oil to wick
in behind the light oil.
Otherwise, the cable will will respond better to replacement.
