Hello,
I saw this webpage, listing "fender trim" for Audi 5k's. Fender trim
is usually a chrome plated stamped sheet metal piece, that screws
into the lip of the fender, usually with a rubber gasket between it
and the outside body.
It can be pretty gaudy, so I wouldn't have even passed it along,
except that they list black as a color. I was thinking these could
be painted body color, and the rear inner fender (lip) could be
ground away to clearance some different wheels. Perhaps these
could even be used to weld on some permanent fender flares.
They would likely be stamped to fit the body, which would help. Or
maybe use them to mold some kind of plastic or fiberglass or
something.
Anyways, here's the link. Too bad they don't have pics up.
