Hilicoil ate aluminum thread! Need help.

Graig,
could you clarify what thread locker you meant? I am going to order timeserts for M6 and M8 next week just to have in handy.
I pulled a oil filter bracket at local junk yard to have spare in case stepped stud fails (the hole is too large for 6mm timesert after helicoil stripped the thread).
