I'm in the midst of filing suit against an independent used car dealer
that specializes in luxury imports who misrepresented my 98 A6 Avant as
having the 200 hp 30V motor. In addition to verbal statements, the
dealer provided me w/ a Carfax report that lists my vehicle as having
the 30V motor (I now know Carfax is WRONG and can't be relied upon in
the future) and an Owner's Manual for a 98 A6 Sedan which he claimed
applied to the wagon as well (I now know that the wagon comes w/ a
different owner's manual and that in 98 Audi offered the 30V motor in
the A4 Avant and A6 sedan but not the A6 Avant). Please, let's not go
into why I didn't know all these facts. My attorney feels I have a good
case and recommends I take the dealer to Small Claims Court to recoup
the difference in value betw the 98 A6 Avant and the 99 A6 Avant (1st
year 30V motor available in A6 Avant) which is roughly $5k. Although
I've gathered literature from various sources regarding the different
motors used by Audi in 1998, he highly recommends I go to court w/ an
expert witness or, at the least, a letter from an expert witness.

Is there anyone out there who qualifies as an Audi expert (must be
someone who buys/sells/repairs Audi's or works for Audi or an Audi
supplier in a technical capacity, etc.) or knows of one who would be
willing help my cause for a reasonable fee? I live in the Seacoast
region of Southern New Hampshire. TIA
