200tq, dash clicking and boinking...

I'm getting a clicking/blinking/boinking sound coming from the driver's
side dash, possibly underneath...Really hard to tell where.

I can't seem to find any commonalities to when it happens...
Signals are not on, radio is not on, climate control can be on or off...fan
speed doesn't matter...day/night doesn't matter...

I would "investigate", but it's not my car, and I don't want to pull the
dash and go poking around...

Any ideas?
