Bob,
This would probaby work just fine. As long as the V1 has a clear view all
around you should be pretty much OK. You might get some false alarms
whenever your cell phone transmits, though, even though it's out of band,
because of the relatively high power the detector would see being right next
to the antenna. Put it up there temporarily and make some calls to see if
you get falsing.
