5000 Radiator Overflow Tube Broken

This thread on plastic vs. brass has come up so many times it might be
nominated as Torsen was for it's own list......

Plastic radiators will strand you, they just decide to blow apart large
sections, such as goosenecks at inopportune times and places usually too.
 Plastic radiators will break off appendages when changing hoses, or just
by leaning on the wrong spot long before their useful life is over, BTDT.


A brass radiator will manifest it's impending failure with a slow leak
that can be addressed as time permits, and you don't have to worry about
brittleness while working around it.
