Drove my new (to me) '87 4000CS Quattro 1200 miles a couple weeks ago...
from Seattle to Los Angeles... in a little over one day.  Had no idea if
the car would even make it down there (car now has 207k miles on it).
It ran like a champ.  Did realize, though, that my tires were all out of
balance - car shook at speeds over 80.
Slept a couple hours in the back seat.  Far too small back there.
