ADMIN:things that go bump in the night

The upgrade we tried to undertake last night backfired, big time.  We 
finally got the mail server running around 3-4am, but Mailman didn't 
want to play nice with it.

We've given up and put the old mail program back.  Tomorrow night 
will be try #2 after we've consulted+researched some more.  And 
slept.  So much for playing with the car tomorrow :-|

Please re-post if you got a message saying your email was returned 
because of an error etc.
