With the hood opened and the ebrake on, try slipping the clutch in both 1st
and reverse. If the engine tries to climb out of the bay, that indicates a
bad mount. Unlike the trans mounts, which are captive and hold things
together even after the rubber has disintegrated, the front mounts will let
the engine roam free.

Go to a yard a get mounts from the left side of a few FWD 5ks. They should
be _really_ cheap, and they only take about four minutes to remove. These
mounts live the "easy" life compared to the right side, generally under
compression and running cool.
