So, then this wire for reduced boost would be able to be used as a "valet switch" for the boost level? I'm thinking one would be able to put in a switch for this purpose. Would this work on a chipped ECU?
Well, I guess the question depends on what wastegate spring is being used. The ecu can't limit the minimum boost as set by the WG spring, right?
Thanks,

One of these wires is to tell the ECU when the automatic transmission
is in 1st gear. Then the ECU keeps the boost lower in 1st. The auto
transmission used in the 5000 Turbo cars was real wimpy at best.
I think the second wire is also auto transmission related, but I don't
remember exactly what it was for.
