CISIII wiring diagram (Knock Light)

I just tested this on my 90q. The results were inconclusive since I think I
have a bad knock sensor ;-/

The pin in question connects to the fuel pump relay "fuse" connection on the
top of the relay. Its the pin that is closest to the firewall. This is the
same wire that blinks the "check engine light" in the dash. The difference
with the check engine light is that you must shunt the pin to ground in order
to activate the fault code dump.. the bentley would seem to say that shunting
the pin to a voltage source with a light in the middle will give you the
knock light function (maybe the "knock light" IS the check engine light...?).
I got nothing when rapping on the block with a hammer and some 1/2"
extensions.

I checked my knock sensor by hooking up the timing light and repeating the
procedure.. no change in timing.

Is there a better way to check a kock sensor?

Thanks
