As a datapoint, the torsen type44's, with the rear diffs locked, will
put up substantial complaint if you try to, say, maneuver in a
parking lot.  Tried this once in an '89 200 I was test-driving, and
in my 200q20v.

Actually...I've managed to get squeals in smooth-concrete parking
garages.  If you were elsewhere in the garage, it sounds like some
guy is executing power slides around the corners, but I'm just making
a very sharp turn, at well under 10mph(5 is more like it.)

   I've heard other listers say the same, which relaxed my fear that
the torsen had given up the ship.  What still puzzles me is the
groaning I get on very tight radius turns; I don't think it is PS
system noise.  Yuck.
