More WRC to be had on Speedvision

in nz, weve finally got the 30 minute summary wrc coverage at the end of
each day, in time enough for the monte.
interesting to see that (as many suspected) the mitsubishi was way behind
the play based on tommis exploits in the subaru. richard burns move away
from subaru doesnt look to have done him any favours either
rallying is still the best motorsport around imo.
interesting also to reflect on audis decision to withdraw from rallying
based on the risk of spectator injury - i was having a drink last night with
a rally navigator who has done the last few nz international rallys. we
were talking about the safety of cars and a conversation was recalled with
the fia technical delegates from the wrc rally a couple of years back ,
during which a prominent (world champion) rally driver with a major team
retired, a little after the other car had crashed. it transpired that the
chip in the car had been having glitches which affected the handling
(including the steering) resulting in the 1st off. the other (world
champion) driver was told that the factory wanted him to continue,
where-upon he (being decidedly unhappy) took the path of least resistance
and bent the car in such a way that it couldnt continue. spectator
safety - what's that???

Coverage is much better, I was afraid it was going to be all NASCAR this
year.
Too bad Audi doesn't run. Anyone know how to get Len Hunt's attention?
