Gamma radio and changer questions

I have a few questions concerning the Gamma radio.  Actually, it's really
just a single question in multiple parts.  Can non-Bose Gamma radios control
th CD changer?  I bought one recently for my '90 80Q in hopes that it would
(it does have ENA, CL, and DATA connections according to the wiring diagram
on top)... and I'm beginning to have some doubts.  I've looked at Mr. Kan's
radio page for this info, but I'm not so sure it's right.  Will I have to
sell this Gamma and get a Bose Gamma to get CD changer controls?  Will the
Bose Gamma even work in my car with its rear amplified speakers?  For that
matter, will the regular Gamma work fine? (I thought it would, but that also
has been thrown up into the air the more that I have looked into this).
