Help! Need more power, looking for BTDT on any "bolt on" power 2.3sohc.

There's not much to do. BTDT with my '89 100Q (same engine).
You can get a K&N filter. Maybe adds 1/2 HP, maybe makes you
feel better (maybe not).
There are some articles in the archive about swapping cams.
The right one could buy you 5-10 HP, maybe at the expense of
some idle smoothness and economy. Better exhaust would also get
you a couple of HP.
Overall, though, this is the *wrong* engine to try to upgrade.
