Actually, he had the right answer (brake fluid) in the first place.
However, *I* created the doubt by asking what I thought was an innocent
question about which of the systems ran on mineral oil. It was *my* mixing
up of hydraulic fluid for _powered braking_ vs. plain old brake fluid.
You have to give him credit for not just diving into it, assuming he knows
everything about a car brand he never works on. I'd rather "measure twice,
cut once" -- especially if a mistake could damage my car.
