There's a product called "Krud Kutter" - I'll have to check the bottle - it
may be "Crud Cutter".

One of my employees had allowed his brakes to wear down on his Jeep Cherokee
to the point that fluid was leaking from the caliper onto the rim, leaving a
nasty thick caked-on layer of dry brake fluid there.

A Limo company I once worked for introduced me to the product. The rims on
their '93 limos (this was during summer of '99) looked *brand spanking new*!

I tried the product on the product on the afforementioned Jeep, and with a
stiff brush, the grime came right off. Now, keep in mind, the guy had
already tried *"everything else"*!

I use it on both my cars. The tough to remove brake dust in the corners and
crevaces of the rims, which is left behind after a good stiff brushing with
the shampoo is easily removed with Krud Cutter (or however they spell the
name for marketing purposes).

If anyone is interested, I can get the manufacturer info out on the list. I
picked up mine at Home Depot.
