Electric Audi Water Pump

I've been reasearching for an electric water pump for the Audi 5 cylinder engine. I have found some universal pumps that are spliced into the lower radiator hose. I woul dhowever like to find a direct replacement for the pump but the main problem is that the water pump is part of the timing belt system. To do this I'd have to find a motor small enough to be able to press a bearing onto the housing (for the belt) yet powerful and robust enough to withstand the heat and provide a useful life. Does anyone know who makes such motors?

I'v read some articles about electric pumps and V8 guys see 30 horsepower gains at full steam and honda guys see 9-15 horsepower gains by installing an electric pump. Having an electri pump would also allow soemone to get rid of that pesky after run pump, and control the operating temperature of the engine with the turn of a dial.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Scott
