Also if you make this radical 8 degree change in cam
timing, you are also affecting the ignition timing
since the distributor is riding directly off the cam
in the I-5. A better bet would be to get an
"adjustable" cam such as is sold for 4 cylinder VWs
that have a +/- 4 degree range.
