Hi Audifans,
I got a quick question about the thermo switch. What is the specification
for resistance? My Bentley manual says approx. 2.5k ohms @ 68 degrees, and
to check at terminal 21 and 2 of the central connector. The wierd thing is
that circuit leads to the coolant temp. sensor. Is this just a type-o
because the manual clearly states THERMO SWITCH? The reason I'm curious is
that according to the wiring diagram the computer gets a ground through the
switch after a few seconds of cold start injector operation. Feel free to
correct me if I'm wrong.
I would like to thank Huw Powell and Zain Horning for helping me track down a
wiring problem to the idle and full throttle switch. The car is now running
pretty well after it gets warm enough to make the fan cycle. But the engine
is missing and running rich from initial cold start until the fan kicks on.
Thanks,
Todd Hayes
