is there such a thing as a K25?

I have no where near the expertise of some of the respondents on this thread,
but this summer I had some hands on that might be of interest.

There is more than one K-26. The difference goes beyond water cooling!

My URQ WX turbo became the notorious mosquito fogger and needed to be
rebuilt/replaced. Through the process I found that the hot side of my WX K26
had a 2.1875" outlet. An oil cooled 5kt K26 I had as a spare had an outlet of
2.00". Another lister had a K24 that showed a 1.8125" outlet.
I opted for the 2.0" early 5kt (oil only) unit, wanting more daily street
drivability. Low end _is_ better, and I feel the top end is about the same as
it was with the original WX K26 at 2.1875", but I am using a Charlie Smith
spring and don't spend much time at redline on the daily commute.
I have not measured a water cooled 5kt K26, but I feel that I have as close
to a K25 as I can get. Unless of course your idea of a K26 is the 2.0"
version.
HTH, or is of some interest to someone.
