Reservoir breakage appears fairly common.  OTOH the headlight washer hose
on my car 'popped' off somehow.  This resulted in complete washer fluid loss.

No BTDT in terms of pump or  reservoir removal, but you can easily see and
access the bottom of the reservoir, where the pumps are located, by
removing the cover under the engine.  This is fairly easy to do and should
allow you to determine what the problem is.  HTH.
