I once had the windscreen in my '88 80 replaced by a mobile replacement
service. Car creaked and groaned over every bump afterwards, I've later
learned that windscreen replacement is something better left to dealers.
They use a harder, tougher glue that requires a longer time to cure and
they'll make double sure that your car is on a level surface when they
install the 'screen.
Bonded windscreens are integral parts of the car's structure!
Good luck in getting the old screen out, BTW. I watched the installer take
my old one out, he was unable to get it out in one piece...
