What sort of mileage are you 1992-1998 V6 Avant owners getting? The
specs say 23mpg on the highway, please tell me it's better than that -
but be honest. >>
What basis do you have to expect better? It is a heavy car.
Now admittedly, we use crappy RFG II fool here in California (typically
10% or worse down on fool economy than real fuel). In my '87 5kcstq I
only get 24 or so at best on the highway and am getting about the same
(if not slightly worse) in my wife's ovloV 850 turbo wagon. Both of the
above mentioned cars weigh about the same (~3300-3400#) and make about
the same power levels (qlcc chip and 1.8 bar spring in the tq combined
with a 5spd vs. slush makes it feel faster than the Ovlov...not so sure
if it is though, but the tq sure handles a lot better <g>).
If the EPA spec sez 23mpg, I would believe it (and it probably won't get
that on CA RFG II fool).
