I personally side with Taka on the above two points; he's pretty much
on the money.  Long as the subject line is clear about where the car
is, yeah, sometimes it's pretty nice to hear about a rare car that's
popped up in the local Postagesizeville Newspaper etc...

...unless you're in Postagesizeville(or nearby) and had a pretty
sweet thing going convincing the little old lady that "really old
owdie thing"(1985 UrQ) in the garage with a few thou miles on it
wasn't worth more than a "few hundred bux."  In which case, you'd
probably madder than hell that some goodie-two-shoes called, found
out what it was and posted it to the list with the subject "SUPER
CHEAP RARE URQ FOR SALE IN POSTAGESIZEVILLE!" ;-)

My personal peeve is when someone says "A4 automatic v6, all options,
in the local paper!" or similar, AND there's no subject.  Yeah, along
with 2 dozen others :-)
