[ good evening folks
going to work tonight and the car up and dies, acts like it isnt getting
any
gas. I took 2 of the fuel lines(going to the injectors) off the top of the
fuel distributor and turned on the ignition, can hear the fuel pump running
but it seems to me that some gas should be shootin out the top of the fuel
distributors, but its not. Oh well at 240000miles I`ve been meaning to
change out the fool pump. Is there another way to check? Does it sound
like the fuel pump is bad? Thanks for any clues.

It is usually not a good idea to undo the lines at the fuel distributor,
unless absolutely necessary.

More than likely you are getting fuel, but you need to lift up on the
air-sensor plate to get pressurized fuel to the injectors. I typically do
this with the 3mm hex adjustment tool, placing it into the hole and use it
to lift the plate. Be careful not to turn the screw. With the fuel pump
jumpered on at the relay socket, you should observe injector spray.

Consult Bently for actual procedure.

I would be suspicious that you are not getting a spark.
