Door latch disassembly help '89 200Q

The passenger door lock works no more.  What's a
holiday for anyhow if not fiddling with your car?

I have the door skinned and the torx holding the outer
handle is removed.  I can see back there that the
little "rack" that moves when the key is turned has
broken.  How do I further disassemble this to
repair/replace parts?  I don't want to force anything.
