ALMS at Road America coverage was supposed to run 4-6pm.  I caught much of
it, but had to leave - when I stopped, Audi R8s were 1-2-3.  Anyone have the
final?

Interesting to hear the CBS commentators repeatedly call the R8 possibly the
greatest racing car ever - based on its success, reliability, speed, etc...

Wonder if they're right...  It might make an interesting exploration - who
else has 3 or more Le Mans wins in short order (let alone the number of races
in the series)?  Ford GT40?, Porsche 917?, Bentley Speed 6? Bugatti T37 (or
was it 51)?  Not just wins by a marque but by a unique model.  Obviously, if
you drop to certain classes, you can call variations on the 911 theme more
successful, but not in so early a stage of creation...

could be a loooonnnnng debate, eh?
