CGT oil pressure sender stuff

The VDO combination sender/warning light switch is between $30-40 everywhere, while the warning light switches are cheap, at like $8-9 each.

My second train of thought is that if there is a problem with the "gauge" portion of the VDO sender being compatible with the Audi gauge, then it would still be cheaper to just put in an aftermarket VDO gauge at $30-40, plus the $30-40 VDO sender. Compared to $80-100 for the OEM sender to run the OEM gauge.

I like Marc's response the best tho', that my warning light problem is one of the cheap switches. I do wish I hadn't scraped up the expensive one as much as I did, before I understood how it is mounted. :-O

I would love a cross-reference like you describe. Pretty soon we will "have" to have one, since so much stuff is getting NLA! :-(

Later,

Ken
