Well if it's any condolance I think your wheel did this before the R&R.
Every single Audi I have gotten behind the wheel of has had this
'feature'. From the 5ktq to the 90, to the 4kq, and CGT. All have had
about a 1/4" of seemingly springloaded travel when pushed straight in.
Though my horns don't go off :-P
