Several years ago I bought a few feet of the cloth braid line from the local
VW dealer -- $8.33/ft!!!!!

Never again!!  I'll use regular vac line at 1/10th the cost and replace more
frequently.  Or, stuff the vac lines inside some split loom tubing for the
extra bonus of neatening the engine compartment.
