Well, it depends on what you;ve got in there for a trunk liner how tough
this will be.
If you have what my '89 has, a complete furry thing, no way you''re
gonna pop it off from the ski sack perspective, it's edges go all the
way to the edge on the trunk lid.
If you have something smaller, use a flashlight. Can you see where the
key lock part is? There is are two rods attached to the tumbler
affair. One is attached sort of "outside the circle" and is the power
lock gizmo. The other crosses the center of the tumbler area and is the
release rod to the latch. All locking occurs at the key area. If you
can see these rods, "pulling" on the latch rod, away from the center of
the car, should/will unlatch the trunk and you are in.
If you cannot see this area you have a bigger problem, since the power
lock system will only move the tumbler actuator bits to allow opening,
it won't actually open (or unlock) the latch itself. That said, you may
be able to free up your jammed key by alternately applying vacuum and
pressure to the power lock hose going into the trunk.
Please report back, since I have lots of parts that are easy to look at
to try to help you.
